The Dog House, Bloomington’s first and only cage-free dog boarding facility, is looking to add a full time receptionist to its stellar team.

Responsibilities

• greeting and assisting 80-100 clients per day
• cash handling
• answering phone calls, emails, and texts
• gaining knowledge of all things Dog House and communicating those confidently to team members and clients
• communicating pet/client information to other team members
• communicating information from team members back to clients
• keeping a spotless work environment (includes dusting, sweeping, etc)
• maintaining extremely detailed records of client and pets
• dog leashing and handling

• be comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes. The Dog House serves 120-140 pets per day
• All receptionists will undergo a minimum of 15 hands-on shifts with our pet care technicians in our dog daycare to understand dog handling, body language, and our business as a whole
• All receptionists will complete written body language and dog play training
• Our lobby is open 7a-7p M-F, 9a-5p weekends. Receptionists are scheduled during all open hours. Full time is 40 hours per week
• Some holidays and weekends are required; punctuality is of the utmost importance in this position
