Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HIM Director is responsible for organization-wide data integrity, privacy, and security. Oversees health information to ensure that all agencies meet clinical, legal, and ethical standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management/Administration, Masters preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential, or 5+ HIM experience in a leadership capacity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle objects; controls, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Syracuse Community Health
