Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

\n

• Provide clinical nursing care for perioperative patients using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis formulation, planning interventions, and evaluation
\n• Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
\n• Scrubbing experience highly encouraged
\n• Work varied and odd hours when on call with preparation for emergency cases on short notice
\n• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
\n• Two years of clinical nursing and/or operating room practical experience required
\n• Valid RN license from any state accepted (Arizona license not required)
\n• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
\n• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 6 months of hire
\n• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification required within 1 year of hire
\n• Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) required within 2 years of hire
\n• Orientation provided every 2 weeks
\n• Limited shared housing available at $600 per month based on availability (no family or pets allowed)

This JCAHO accredited health center serves a 4,400 square mile area and functions as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including emergency care, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory procedures, supported by a diverse medical staff including surgeons, specialists, and comprehensive nursing teams.
