Description
The University of Rochester Medical Center Transplant Institute of Rochester, NY is seeking a full-time Transplant Nephrologist.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team of transplant nephrologists, surgeons, coordinators, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians and administrative and quality staff, contributing to all aspects of kidney transplant care.
Duties include inpatient care, outpatient practice including acute and long-term care of transplant recipients, kidney transplant biopsy clinics, evaluation of kidney transplant candidates and potential living donors; evaluation and follow-up of wait-listed patients and patients with chronic kidney disease complicating liver, or heart transplantation; and clinical education of nephrology and transplant fellows. Participation in clinical and/or translational research is encouraged.
Ideal candidates will have a doctoral degree (MD or equivalent) and the ability to be licensed in New York State. AST certified transplant fellowship training is required in addition to Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

M.D. Degree or equivalent
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Eligible for Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
