Education: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience Responsibilities: Installation and configuration of Oracle software and related products. Develop and execute plan to apply Oracle upgrades, maintenance, and security patches. Maintain optimum production environments, review and implement NIST security settings for Oracle environments. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. Installation and configuration of Oracle Grid Control Server. Perform database tuning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning. Perform database migrations to newer versions of the software as well as migrations from different platforms to Oracle. Develop and implement automated scripts for performance data collection and database monitoring. Perform analytical research of database architecture seeking areas of performance improvement. Perform analysis and troubleshooting of queries, and provide recommendations for performance improvement. Support data migrations and user administration. Implement database changes and updates for application releases following established procedures. Communicate with customers, server administrators, and developers. May perform as backup DBA for Sybase and/or MS SQL systems. Setup and maintain database documentation and standards. Work in a team environment and provide 7x24 support as required.
