About the role
As a Content Designer at Facet, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products by crafting engaging content that is free of industry jargon, concise, and performant. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to create intuitive and informative experiences for both our members and our internal team of financial planners. You'll be responsible for crafting content across our entire product ecosystem, from microcopy and user interface text to onboarding flows, dynamic user experiences, and in-app notifications. You'll be a key contributor in shaping the voice of our products, focusing on both long-term content strategy and tactical day-to-day execution. This role reports to the Head of Product Design.
Create copy that is free of industry jargon, concise, user-friendly, and performant for a variety of digital products and platforms, including web and mobile applications, for both internal and external audiences.
Write and edit a wide range of content, including microcopy, user interface text, onboarding flows, help documentation, FAQs, transactional emails, error messages, and in-app notifications.
Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
Develop and maintain a content style guide and voice and tone guidelines for Facet's products, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and alignment with overall brand guidelines.
Engage in rapid experimentation and testing, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods to validate and refine content.
Transform user insights into effective and engaging content solutions.
Contribute to the development of marketing materials, such as website copy, blog posts, and social media content, as needed.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure content adheres to industry regulations and guidelines.
Present your work to stakeholders and effectively communicate your design decisions.
Online portfolio of UX writing samples required for consideration.
7+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer, Content Strategist, or similar role, with a proven track record of creating performant, user-centered content.
Advanced understanding of UX principles and best practices.
Proven experience conducting user research and applying diverse research methodologies, including A/B and multivariate testing, to inform content decisions.
Advanced experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD required.
Experience in the Financial industry is a plus.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
$130,000 - $150,000 annual salary + Bonus + Equity determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant - Please note, our salary ranges are based on current market data.
