Job Title: AdministratorJob Description
This position serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing material at a transfer station or material recovery facility. The role involves interfacing directly with customers, calculating payments, checking loads, and ensuring safety compliance for both customers and employees.
Responsibilities
Greet and direct customers and other traffic, answering questions accurately.
Correctly calculate payments for customers.
Enter all extra charges and load grading into the computer as provided by site personnel.
Ensure incoming loads are safe and free from inappropriate materials.
Ensure customers and employees conduct business safely and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain general upkeep of the Scale House.
Complete all administrative tasks, including regular filing and required reports.
Keep the immediate supervisor informed of all issues or matters requiring attention.
Perform required data entry and minor customer service tasks.
Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time.
Actively contribute to the improvement of workplace safety and health.
Approach all interactions with employees, customers, and vendors with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor.
Project a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and positive attitude that instills customer confidence and reflects a professional image.
Participate in all required company meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
The role requires working from 5am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Employees may choose to work through lunch for overtime pay. The position demands a professional and service-oriented attitude in a highly-visible setting, projecting a positive image to customers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stratford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
