A Chef Assistant is needed for a private family / estate in the Detroit / Birmingham area. This position is mainly a Monday Friday, 8am to 5pm position (with some changes as events arise).
Chef Assistant Benefits:
Full-time hourly rate plus overtime eligible. Base rate of $28 to $30 per hour.

Chef Assistant Responsibility:
Assist Executive Chef with meal planning, grocery shopping and preparations/cook of all meals while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
Source and order high-quality ingredients, keeping track of inventory and ensuring freshness.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with managing inventory of food and beverages throughout all properties.
Ability to adapt to new techniques, recipes, client preferences and requests.
Chef Assistant Requirements:
Must have a basic understanding of various cuisines, ingredients, and cooking techniques. With a passion for learning new cooking techniques, candidates should also have basic butchery, baking and pasta making skills.
Capable to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work flexible hours when needed, sometimes including weekends, nights and holidays.
Good verbal communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and relay information effectively.
Reliable personal transportation is required. Experience working for a private family.
