Job Description: 

The Client is looking to innovate and strength its investment management and delivery of pension and health care benefits. This is for Operations (Trust Wide), but one of the groups, Private Markets, has made a global mandate to invest in Private Equity, Real Assets and Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure. This team is looking to expand by adding a Power BI Developer to the team. There are other Data Analyst, Data Scientists and more than 30 investment professionals working within this Private Market team, alongside a team of developers/analysts working on the Quant Portfolio and Pension teams, which are also innovating and going toward Artificial Intelligence. 

The main to day of this PowerBI Developer will be to assist with data analytics, develop and design user facing visualizations and building PowerBI data layers. They should have roughly 5 years with BI, but it can be in various tools, such as SSRS or Tableau or Qlik. 

This is a full lifecycle role in the sense that they will support what they build. They will collect, analyze and develop data mart schema requirements and source-to-target mapping, aligned with approved architectural direction. They will produce logical data models for the databases. Also, they will be working a lot within the Microsoft Technology stack, such as developing stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL and developing visualizations using PowerBI. However, outside of just developing with PowerBI, they also want someone who likes to design the visualizations. They want someone who wants to make them aesthetically pleasing and can showcase that work.

The things this person need to be successful are:

Duties and Responsibilities
• Collect, analyze and develop data mart schema requirements and source-to-target mapping, aligned with approved architectural direction.
• Produce logical and dimensional data models 
• Develop and troubleshoot stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL.
• Develop data models from scratch (SSAS Tabular or Multidimensional)
• Develop visualizations using Power BI
• Work in partnership with business analysts to ensure proper integration of new solutions into existing environments.
• Work closely with IT to understand infrastructure capacity and environment requirements for new development.
• Work with database administrators to design logical and physical data models and ensure efficient flow and storage of information.
• Provide task-level estimated effort and development schedules to project leads.

Minimum Requirements:
• Experienced/Expert at data visualization and advance calculations (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table) using Azure-based Power BI (all devices)
• Expert knowledge connecting Microsoft Azure-based Power BI to various data sources
• Expert creating different visualizations using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Maps, Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc.
• In-depth experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite (Microsoft SSAS, SSIS,SSRS) and Power BI
• Able to optimize performance where required. 
• Knowledge on SQL Server 2012 or advanced versions; SQL Server 2016 is most preferable.
• Knowledge on Azure
• Experience developing in Agile SCRUM teams
• Thrives in an environment of frequently changing requirements.
Preferred Requirements
• Investment Accounting or Financial Experience

Compensated for drive time and mileage reimbursement for travel. Once converted full-time at about a year, you will receive company vehicle.
