Job Description

Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid)

At GoBolt, we provide a technology-driven, customer-centric and sustainable approach to ecommerce and last-mile logistics for businesses of all sizes - from local brands to large national retailers. By operating as an extension of our customer's team, we deliver best-in-class services every step of the way. We're building North America's largest electric vehicle fleet to help bring sustainability to an industry notorious for its heavy impact on the environment. We are in high growth mode and building for the future, which is where you come in!

We are looking to hire a People & Culture Director to help support our growing operations. We are an adaptable, solution-focused, fast-paced team looking for energetic people who would like to have a rare opportunity to join one of Canada's fastest growing companies.

As the Director, People & Culture, you will drive people strategy, talent development, and culture-building initiatives to support our rapidly growing team. You'll be the architect behind our HR programs, leadership development, and employee experience, ensuring we scale in a way that maintains our values, inclusivity, and high-performance culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a People & Culture strategy that aligns with business goals and scales with our rapid growth
  • Lead and mentor the People & Culture team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
  • Champion our company culture by designing initiatives that enhance engagement, well-being, and inclusion.
  • Design and manage employee recognition, engagement, and feedback programs to keep our team motivated and connected.
  • Build and execute programs for leadership development, coaching, and career progression.
  • Own the performance management process, ensuring clear goals, continuous feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Support succession planning to ensure we have the right talent in place for future growth.
  • Lead annual compensation reviews, benchmarking, and incentive planning to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, employment standards, and HR best practices in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Oversee HR analytics and reporting, using data to drive people-related decisions and improvements.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit top talent for the company that aligns with workforce plans and objectives.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive and hands-on Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 5+ years leading generalist/specialist teams in high growth companies
  • Experience scaling People & Culture programs in a high-growth tech or logistics company.
  • Strategic thinker who can deliver on tactical and operational issues. This is a very hands-on role that requires building and developing capabilities in a high growth setting with a small, but high performing team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Track record of being a partner to managers across a variety of functional areas as well as demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and staff
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change with management teams and across start-up organizations, aligning people strategy with values and goals
Why Join Us?

We are innovative, goal-oriented, and are always on the search for energetic and passionate people who are eager to learn and would like to have a rare opportunity to grow within one of Canada's fastest-growing companies.

We offer a workplace where respect, diversity, and inclusion are the cornerstones of our culture. Our team members are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, contributing to our collective mission in their unique ways. Aside from an amazing culture, we also offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision plans for you and your family.

If you are eager to make a difference and contribute to a fast paced exciting environment, we would love to hear from you.
