Position Overview:

As an Intake Screener, you will play a key role in our organization by screening intake details through telephone or face-to-face interactions with callers and clients. Your role will involve being a helpful resource, gathering necessary information, entering data into the electronic medical record system, and providing updates throughout the screening process.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Secure client information with professionalism and empathy.
  • Accurately enter client information and screening details into the electronic medical records system.
  • Maintain communication with referral sources and coordinate client appointments.
  • Record necessary statistics as outlined by the agency.
  • Demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities while maintaining a consistently professional demeanor.
  • Stay knowledgeable about community resources to provide alternatives when needed.

What You Bring:

  • Ability to draw valid conclusions and offer solutions.
  • A commitment to assisting individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Proficiency in computer software for accurate data entry and familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a strong respect for confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), Registered Assistant (RA), or Prevention Specialist is required.
