We are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Physicist to oversee radiation oncology physics operations in a collaborative, high-quality clinical environment.
Full-Time Physicist: On-site 3 days/week, remote 2 days/week (40 hours)
Part-Time Physicist: On-site 2 days/week on days the full-time physicist is remote, plus an additional half-day remote if needed (up to 20 hours)
Coverage for colleagues' sick and vacation time
Practice hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
Maintain and execute Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Program , including policies, procedures, and staff support
Implement, manage, and maintain all medical physics QA equipment , ensuring preventive maintenance and routine calibrations
Coordinate with alternate physicists for full clinic coverage, managing vacation/illness schedules and emergency consultations
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation standards related to medical physics
Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists for safe and effective patient treatments, including plan reviews and specialized dose measurements
Administer, maintain, and oversee all physics-related software systems (treatment planning, MU calculation, QA software)
Perform daily, monthly, and annual QA testing on linear accelerators, CT simulators, and treatment planning systems
Oversee dosimetry operations, participate in weekly chart rounds, and provide coverage in absence of dosimetrists
Support high-dose treatments including HyperArc, SBRT, SRS, SRT
Commission and maintain stereotactic systems in treatment planning; act as radiation safety liaison during inspections
Conduct weekly patient chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation
Lead planning for new treatment modalities, accreditations, and certifications
Master of Science in Physics, Biophysics, Medical Physics, Radiological Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or Health Physics - [REQUIRED]
Board Certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics - [REQUIRED]
Minimum 3+ years' experience - [REQUIRED]
Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) in Ohio - [REQUIRED]
