Human Resources Manager – Confidential Search

Southwest Greater Cleveland, Ohio

A well-established manufacturing and distribution company in the greater Cleveland area is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR operations for its non-union workforce of approximately 200 employees. This is a confidential search for this friendly company that is in the process of expanding.

Reporting directly to the CEO , this role will serve as the company’s face of HR, a leader balancing hands-on, tactical execution with strategic partnership to the executive team. The ideal candidate will be an approachable, resourceful leader with strong generalist experience and a track record of building trust across all levels of an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruitment, and compliance.
  • Lead and develop a small HR team, ensuring consistent, high-quality support to employees and managers.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, retention, and performance initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance company culture while ensuring adherence to HR policies and employment laws.
  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Background in manufacturing and/or distribution needed.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll administration, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
