compassionate, creative Music Therapist to join our Life Enrichment team and enrich the lives of our residents through the power of music.
Schedule - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
- Holidays required
- 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
What You'll Do - Plan, prepare, and lead engaging individual and group music therapy programs across multiple levels of care, including memory care
- Design sensory-based music programs for cognitively impaired residents
- Support Life Enrichment with special programs and events (parties, trips, holiday events, and workshops) as needed
- Oversee and support chorus-style programming for residents and staff, as needed
- Record program attendance and communicate resident needs with the Director of Life Enrichment and Nursing
- Provide wheelchair transportation for residents to and from programs as needed
- Maintain infection control, safety practices, and a warm, professional presence with residents, families, and coworkers
What We're Looking For - Degree in Creative Arts Therapy
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
- Ability to play a musical instrument and lead music activities (including singing) with a geriatric population
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a team-first mindset
- Familiarity with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
