Join Our Team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic!

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic , you will play a vital role in delivering patient care and services, performing EKGs, and collecting lab specimens under the guidance of licensed nurses and providers. Your contributions will ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care in a supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Collaborate with the Care Team: Work as a team member, responding positively to colleagues' needs and promoting a positive work environment.
• Mentor and Lead: Serve as a role model and mentor for new EMTs and ancillary personnel, guiding them through unit procedures and readiness.
• Communicate Effectively: Interact with peers, staff, and physicians in a respectful manner, ensuring clear communication for optimal patient care.
• Provide Direct Patient Care: Document comprehensive screenings, vital signs, and treatments while ensuring patient needs are met through hourly rounds.
• Ensure Quality and Safety: Use rapid assessment skills to identify patient conditions and communicate findings promptly to the licensed nurse.
• Manage Resources Wisely: Utilize supplies efficiently and maintain an orderly environment to support patient care.
• Foster Growth and Innovation: Seek opportunities for continual learning and participate in performance improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent, completion of EMT-A or Paramedic program, or currently enrolled in an EMT to Paramedic program.
• Experience: At least six months of pre-hospital or hospital experience as an EMT or Paramedic.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • LP - Licensed Paramedic or EMT-A - Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced or EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (within 3 months).
  • NVCRISIS - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification (within 3 months).
• Skills: Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking skills, along with proficiency in electronic health records and basic EKG interpretation.
