About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Investment Officer to join its Office of Investment Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Investment Officer in directing the work program of investments, which includes overseeing the implementation of investment policies and strategies, supporting the establishment of tactical asset allocation strategies, and monitoring the performance of external managers. The role also involves contributing to the development of new investment approaches, as well as staff training and development programs. The Deputy Chief Investment Officer will be expected to have a proven track record in decision-making as an asset allocator and investment manager, with a focus on consistently surpassing performance benchmarks. Applicants must have an advanced university degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field, with a preference for those holding a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification. A minimum of 15 years of experience in investment management, with at least 10 years in a long-term institutional investment management organization, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both fundamental and quantitative analysis, with a proven ability to lead and manage investment teams. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of another UN official language is desirable. The role demands a high level of professionalism, accountability, and the ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
