The Accounting Assistant provides high volume support to all areas within our accounting and finance department as well as administrative support to our heavy duty truck dealerships located in the Midwest. Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00/hr (based on experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain an accurate general ledger. Post and review all general ledger journal entries. Daily posting of all bank activity. Weekly posting of warranty and coupon remittances Perform reconciliations within the general ledger. Participate in monthly financial statement analysis. Assist in generating all manual and system check runs. Generate company checks through a daily, weekly and bi-monthly check run system. Distribute checks accordingly. Manage company vehicle use. Track users, mileage, title and registration of company owned fleet. Maintain company trip records. Minimum Qualifications: 2 year Accounting degree Strong verbal and written communication skills.
