About the Role
The Company is in need of a Vice President of Accounting and Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key financial activities, including assisting in the preparation of the General Ledger and P&L statements, managing A/R, A/P, and Payroll, and overseeing the production of KPIs and revenue and expense variance analysis. The role also involves reconciling accruals to cash accounting statements, generating and maintaining P&L’s for various business units, and managing a staff of over 10. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a CPA certification, and at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting and Finance position at the company should have a proven track record of managing an accounting team of 7 or more people and be proficient in the Sage accounting system with advanced Excel skills. Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or manufacturing industries is preferred, as is a background in automating manual accounting processes. The role requires a strategic leader who can ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, as well as drive process improvements within the accounting function.
