Were growing our in-house software team at Bartlett Roofing !
This position will be in-office in Boise, Idaho. We will not consider remote applicants for this role.
A portfolio is required with your application submission.
Over the past year, weve brought design and development in-house and have been working hard to sync the two. We restarted our product design about 4 months ago and are now handing off designs to developers almost immediately. To keep this momentum going, were looking for new team members with extensive Figma and UI/UX design experience (required) who can help streamline our process over the next few months.
We need people who are comfortable switching between design and development, especially if youve worked at startups and are familiar with MongoDB. Flexibility is key here as we continue to grow, and we love team members who can roll with the changes. Our CRM/lead gen platform is gearing up for launch next year, with the MVP going live in-house by February.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually DOE

Who You Are
- Proficient in Figma: Strong experience in creating, editing, and managing design systems, components, and prototypes in Figma.
- You are a senior software developer, as well as a designer.
- Collaborative Design Skills: Able to work closely with developers and other team members to translate design concepts into clear, functional user interfaces.
- Front-End Development Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as Vue.js and understanding of how to translate design elements into components.
- Responsive Design: Experienced in designing responsive layouts that adapt seamlessly across different devices and screen sizes.
- Version Control for Design: Ability to manage design versioning and track changes to ensure alignment with development sprints.
- Cross-functional communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both design and development teams, ensuring designs are feasible and aligned with product goals.
- Prototyping & User Flows: Capable of creating interactive prototypes and detailed user flows to visualize user experiences.
- Design to Code Handoff: Skilled at preparing design files and annotations for smooth handoff to developers, ensuring accuracy in implementation.
- Cross-Disciplinary Skills: Ability to transition seamlessly from design tasks to development tasks, contributing to both design and codebases as needed.
- Node.js & Express: Familiarity with backend technologies like Node.js and Express to collaborate effectively with the development team or transition into full-stack development.
- MongoDB Experience: Understanding of MongoDB for working with databases, with the potential to contribute to both front-end and back-end development.
- Agile Workflow Familiarity: Comfortable working in an agile development environment, with experience in tools like Linear for managing tasks.
