GHR Healthcare is hiring an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a well-established Radiology Department in Philadelphia, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mammo Tech seeking consistent weekday hours, flexible scheduling, and strong compensation in a supportive imaging environment.

 

Position Details

• Location: Philadelphia, PA
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8s
• Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (some flexibility available)
• Local Pay Rate: $70 to $72 per hour
• Weekly Gross Pay (Travel): $3,253
• Setting: Radiology Department
• Experience Required: 2+ years of Mammography experience

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic and breast ultrasound procedures using proper technique and departmental protocols
• Provide patient care across all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Review imaging requests and consult with Radiologists as needed
• Accurately identify patients and confirm correct patient and procedure
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and family members
• Complete patient history, exam documentation, and billing requirements
• Document technical observations and escalate findings as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team
• Adapt exams based on patient history, lab results, and medical records
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism in all patient interactions
• Maintain a positive, patient-focused attitude

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical education of students and staff as needed
• Conduct visual safety inspections of exam rooms and report concerns
• Maintain exam room inventory and report supply needs
• Work efficiently during urgent or emergent situations
• Build strong working relationships with patients and the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Mammography
