Job Details:

• Work rotating day/night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Schedule includes 3x12 hour shifts per week
\n• Required to work 2 out of every 6 weekends
\n• Holiday requirements apply with possible RTO consideration if requested ahead of time
\n• First to float based on staffing needs and skill set to areas such as Medical Surgical unit
\n• No call requirements but overtime opportunities available
\n• Must have 2 years of nursing experience, travel experience preferred
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
\n• Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
\n• Any color scrubs permitted
\n• Minimum 2 days of unit-specific orientation required
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 for stable patients, 1:1 or 1:2 for critically ill patients
\n• Must be able to mix own medications and assist with respiratory medications/equipment/intubation
\n• Required to read and interpret EKG strips
\n• Able to draw blood from IV starts when indicated
\n• Care for 8-25 patients per day with diverse medical needs including acute illness, severe injuries, chest pain, respiratory distress, neurological conditions, allergic reactions, psychiatric emergencies, and various traumas
\n• Work with common drips including Insulin, Heparin, Levofed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Propofol
\n• Charting system: Meditech
\n• Fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking skills, effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, empathy, clinical competence, and time management

Facility:

This Critical Access Hospital operates a 6-bed emergency department providing comprehensive emergency care services. The facility features a full radiology department adjacent to the ED with X-ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound capabilities. The emergency department is staffed with one provider 24/7 and a second provider from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, along with a coordinator to assist with traumas and critical patients. The facility maintains respiratory therapy services with in-house coverage from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on-call availability 24/7, equipped with advanced respiratory equipment including BiPAP, ventilators, and heated high flow systems.
