Networking group develops control plane and data plane Networking stacks for Apple’s innovative products including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod, and Mac OS. Leveraging adaptive machine learning techniques, this group continuously improves the user’s network connectivity experience.

Description

Networking group is looking for a passionate software quality engineer to join our group to develop and automate tests and work on performance characterization tests. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer who has the skills to debug complex and layered software stacks. You will be self-motivated and will design and develop analysis and visualization software tools to improve screening process efficiency. You will collaborate with multiple teams and thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong programming skills with Python, C/C++.
• Experience developing scripts and tools.
• Ability to work with multi-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment.
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols.
• Familiarity with network configuration protocols (e.g. DNS, DHCP, Bonjour, etc).
• Track record of shipping high-quality products.
• Ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality.
• Experience with system performance characterization is a plus.
• Innovative, flexible, and results-oriented with a positive attitude.

Additional Requirements

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
