We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will prepare both simple and complex tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. • Salary depends on candidate's experience. Range is as follows - $52,000 for entry-level candidates; up to $70,000 for experienced tax preparers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and business tax returns in compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Analyze financial statements and other necessary documentation to ensure accurate filings.
• Provide tax planning and advice to clients to support their financial decision-making.
• Review client-provided data and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Address client queries related to tax preparation promptly and accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling client information.
• Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with audits and resolve audit inquiries as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, fostering long-term relationships.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a tax preparer, ideally in a professional services setting.
• Accreditation such as Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP) or similar credential is preferred.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Proficiency in tax software and other financial/accounting tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
