Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Long Beach, CA

Reports To: HR Director

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at you will be a key player in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to drive our organizations growth and success. You will collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Strategy Development:
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, team dynamics, and the overall hiring needs of the organization.
  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates.
  • Candidate Sourcing and Engagement:
  • Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • Conduct proactive talent research and pipeline development to ensure a continuous flow of qualified candidates.
  • Screening and Interviewing:
  • Review resumes and applications to assess candidates qualifications and fit for the role.
  • Conduct initial phone screens, schedule and coordinate interviews, and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Administer and evaluate pre-employment assessments and tests as required.
  • Candidate Experience Management:
  • Provide timely and clear communication to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience from application to offer acceptance.
  • Offer Management and Onboarding:
  • Extend job offers and negotiate terms with selected candidates.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions, status, and feedback in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Generate and analyze recruiting metrics and reports to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Market Research and Networking:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, labor market conditions, and competitive landscape to effectively position SalSon Logistics as an employer of choice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, industry professionals, and external recruitment agencies.
  • Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to best practices in recruitment, diversity, equity, and inclusion to promote a fair and inclusive hiring process.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) a Plus
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in Transportation and Logistics.
    • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Analytical skills to assess candidate qualifications and evaluate recruitment metrics.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with recruitment software or tools is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Transportation and the Logistics industry is a plus.
