Senior Materials Manager

Overview:

The Senior Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of material planning, inventory control, storage, and logistics. This role focuses exclusively on materials management while collaborating with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to meet overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing, production, and engineering to ensure sufficient material supply and smooth movement throughout the facility.
• Inventory Control: Develop and maintain robust inventory control systems by tracking purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and aligning with production needs.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate current procedures for accuracy and efficiency, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
• Forecasting: Prepare forecasts for future materials requirements based on production schedules and business growth plans.
• Production Coordination: Review production schedules to confirm the availability of necessary materials.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in materials management or a related field, with 5+ years in a leadership role preferred.
