Kraus Hi-Tech Home Automation - New York City Metropolitan Area (On-site)
We have an open position for a Smart-Home Senior Technician. A Senior Installation Technician is responsible for basic and advanced technical and mechanical production of Smart-Home integration projects. They actively participate within a professional team environment, implementing projects within the contract-based budget, timeline, and scope to ensure a great client experience delivered with the highest quality possible.
Responsibilities
· Accountable for the accuracy, performance and success of all technical installations for assigned projects.
· Work with a highly effective team of professional Salespeople, Engineers, Project Managers and Technicians to maintain our high-quality workmanship standards.
· Act as site supervisor to help manage the jobsite, tasks and assigned resources.
· Configure, install, setup and troubleshoot audio, video, wired/wireless networks, motorized shades, lighting and control systems as specified in scope documents
· While on site, communicate and collaborate with GC, Electricians and other trades to ensure the smooth continuation of all Company’s installation work
· Personally handle the more complex project tasks with assistance as needed
· Regularly inspect install work performed by other members of the team
· Make the Operations Manager and Field Supervisor aware of any deficiencies or training that is required.
· Load/test system project files and debug systems throughout completion of installation
· Ensure that all Installation work completed meets Kraus Hi-Tech’s standards
· Lead and manage Field Technicians and Apprentice Technicians including
Qualifications
· Experience of 5 years or more working as a project manager
· Experience of 2 years or more in the AV/Automation industry
· Control4, Lutron and Savant experience highly desirable
· Must have valid NY driver’s license.
· Polite with experience working in a customer service environment
Hours
· 8:00am to 4:30pm
· Occasional overtime required
