Job Description

Our client in Newburg, NY is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of metalworking tools and techniques. This is NOT welding.

What will you be doing?

• Building roof vents, roof curbs, and other sheet metal roofing accessories.
• Working with aluminum sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and metalworking machinery such as hydraulic press brakes, power shears, and punch presses
• Inspect finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve fabrication processes.

What do you bring?

• Minimum 2 years of experience using metalworking machinery, hydraulic press brakes, power shears, and punch presses.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of stamping machines (a plus).
• Ability to set-up presses with dies and air feeds for production (a plus)
