LHH is looking to hire a Senior Tax Manager for a client located in Chicago. This position involves managing the preparation of tax returns, coordinating audits, and developing strategies for continuous improvement in tax processes. The successful candidate will also mentor team members and ensure effective communication with various business units regarding tax-related issues. Responsibilities Coordinate, review, and manage the preparation of consolidated federal and applicable state and local income tax return filings. Effectively manage the compliance process to develop strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency and quality. Establish and maintain a system of coordinated interaction with business units to stay informed on tax-related issues. Collaborate with outside consultants on special projects and perform calculations within the returns (e.g., Transfer Pricing, LIFO, Depreciation). Coordinate federal and state audits. Engage in tax planning and other special projects. Requirements 7+ years of experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry. Prior management experience, ideally within a corporate tax environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA and/or MST preferred. Experience with SAP and OneSource Tax Software preferred.
