Strategic Business Systems is in search of an adept Sr Storage Administrator to join our esteemed team of diverse professionals. This integral role is pivotal in guaranteeing the seamless provision of mission-critical intelligence and the optimal utilization of global information technology (IT) networks on behalf of our clients.
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (Onsite)
Required Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI
Required Certifications: Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prerequisites - one Level II certification AND one Computing Environment (CE) certification
Key Responsibilities: - Install, operate, and maintain network and storage technologies including VEEAM, NetApp, Veritas NetBackup, Brocade Fiber Channel, HPE StoreOnce Systems, tape libraries, and backup to disk.
- Implement patches and perform system updates, ensuring smooth operation.
- Oversee storage allocation, space management, and replication strategies.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems pertaining to storage systems and network storage solutions.
- Expertly troubleshoot and restore intricate storage issues across the enterprise, encompassing replication and storage strategies over wide area networks.
- Execute data recovery as needed.
- Provide insights into storage upgrades and contribute to seamless project integration.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot NAS protocols and solutions.
- Create and optimize volumes, disk shelves, and RAID groups.
Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, OR Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, OR Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience.
- Required Skillset:
- Profound grasp of principles, methods, and techniques employed in Storage Area Network (SAN) administration and support.
- Comprehensive understanding of VMware vSphere.
- In-depth familiarity with IP-based storage technologies.
- Sound knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, terminals, and relevant network hardware and software.
- Proficiency in desktop operating systems and applications.
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Additional Requirements: - Candidates must demonstrate willingness and eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph for specific positions as defined by the contract.
