Overview The Senior Manager provides leadership and direction through managers and is accountable for the performance and results of related teams/functions. Decisions are guided by division/department strategy and priorities. The Leadership impacts the business results of a division by collaborating across (REL) to bring the REL strategy to life by delivering new and innovative ways to help our members residential finance needs through new and existing products and services. The Sr. Mgr. - Product Innovation is responsible for developing information technology strategies, policies and plans. Responsibilities Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function Monitors macroeconomic indicators and tracks housing and mortgage/ equity market related trends. Proactively scans industry news and regulatory changes to identify emerging opportunities and risks. Works with REL's and enterprise analytics teams to assess the implications of these trends on REL's product strategy, market positioning, and portfolio performance Collaborates across all of Navy Federal to optimize our market & member share, competitive positioning, and credit risk Understands competitors' strategies, products, and positions and external economic factors to drive a competitive edge for our members across REL Qualifications More than 10 years of experience in Innovation Management, R&D and/or rapid prototype testing Prior experience as a thought leader or leading a team of researchers and/or strategists highly desired Collaborative, entrepreneurial thinker who stays on top of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies Experience researching and socializing state of the art technologies Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies is desirable Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Understanding of REL's products, market positions, membership, and mission is strongly desirable Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM Locations: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 | 141 Security Drive, Winchester, VA 22602 | 5510 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526 | 9999 Willow Creek Road, San Diego, CA 92131 About Us Navy Federal provides much more than a job.
