Hello! We are recruiting for a a top notch Firmware Developer that must reside within driving distance of San Diego as some interaction with Hardware is essential. This is a long term contract that can be mostly remote with some onsite work in Sorrento Valley required. Medical Device experience a plus. Please inquire asap!
Required:
o B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
o 3-5 years of experience in firmware/software development
o 3+ years developing in embedded C
o Experienced and engaged in the Agile SW development process
o Must be currently authorized to work in the US
• Highly desired:
General firmware experience is what we are after right now. Medical device development specific experience is a big plus as is experience with biotech instruments. Other experience that may be useful includes board bring up support, algorithm design, optics/spectroscopy, AFEs for sensors especially electrochemical, Bluetooth Low Energy, design for testability. Languages are mostly C and Python; typical microcontrollers are STM and Nordic semi.
o Experience with board bring-up – some EE knowledge
o Design and implement embedded firmware from concept to production
o Experience with Bluetooth communications
o Experience with range of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, RTOS and other
operating systems on new platforms
o Experience with medical device development process
o Familiarity with software application development in JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar high-
level languages
o Good spoken and written English skills
