Beacon Hill Financial just teamed up with a great non-profit client looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position will be reporting to the controller and prior nonprofit experience is a nice to have but is not needed. Listed below is the job description. Job Description:

• Preparation of journal entries for recurring activity consistent with the accrual basis of accounting necessary for the monthly close of books. Entries may include recognition of prepaid expenses, expensing deposits, recording current period activity such as employment costs, allocation of benefits and expenses, etc.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts which may result in journal entries or as necessary for the monthly close and financial reporting.
• Works independently in the preparation of special reports and analyses involving more complex financial areas, such as investments, restricted donations, and net asset classes.
• Support as needed for preparation of financial reporting to committees, internal management, and the annual external audit.
