Summary This position is located in a Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC) in the organization of the CPAC Director with the incumbent serving as Executive Secretary to the CPAC Director. Employee provides clerical/administrative support to the Director. The CPAC is a regionally consolidated business entity established to enhance revenue operations throughout the VHA network by standardization and consolidation of functions, and the integration of VHA and industry best practices. Responsibilities Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately. Provides customers with consistent information according to established policies and procedures. Handles a wide variety of situations and conflicts independently, using initiative, tact and diplomacy. Deals and coordinates with other organizations outside of the Center. Maintains the daily calendar, making appointments and arranging conferences and meetings. Handles office filing systems, records and processes necessary for the orderly management of office functions. Plans and coordinates the work of the office, including clerical and administrative details incidental to that work. Ensures that the clerical and administrative portions of the Director's work are accomplished effectively.
