Seals Ambulance – Driver Priority OnDemand Location: Indianapolis, IN Responsibilities Provides scheduled and unscheduled medical transportation services and delivers the passenger to the appropriate location. Responds to hospitals, nursing homes and other locations to provide medical transportation services. Provides safe medical team and/or passenger movement from/to wheelchair/stretcher at home, hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities. Provides passenger safety monitoring en route to destination and during transportation to, from and/or between facilities. Performs passenger monitoring per state law, adhering to company, local, regional, and state guidelines. Performs other duties as directed. Reporting To Field Supervisor or Operations Manager as appropriate for all operational activities. Qualifications Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and responsibility. Currently licensed, certified or registered by the appropriate state agencies. Currently certified in CPR by the AHA or other appropriate organization. Currently certified in First Aid by the ARC or other appropriate organization. Must become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician within one year of hire. Possesses a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license at the appropriate level. Have a clean driving record as approved by the company vehicle liability insurer. Have successfully completed a CEVO ambulance driver safety classroom and practical course. Works effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment. Works efficiently and interacts in a constructive and professional manner with other employees, public safety personnel and medical staff. Interacts professionally with passengers, customers, clients, family members, bystanders, and the general public in a manner that reflects positively on the company. Demonstrates a level of skill and ability consistent with the provision of high quality passenger care. Physical Requirements Pass a DOT physical. Reach, push and pull. Sit or stand for long periods of time. Walk up and down stairs without difficulty. Bend, stoop, squat and kneel for long periods of time. Walk one quarter of a mile without difficulty. Complete all job duties during any and all hours of the day and night. Lift and maneuver 150 pounds without difficulty. Lift and maneuver 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs without difficulty.
