We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will guide Agile teams to achieve their goals, ensuring alignment with Scrum principles and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
• Facilitate all key Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Mentor the team on Agile methodologies and best practices, ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework.
• Identify and address obstacles that may impede team progress, escalating issues when necessary.
• Shield the team from external disruptions, allowing them to focus on achieving Sprint objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine the product backlog, prioritize tasks, and prepare for upcoming Sprints.
• Promote clear communication and transparency among team members and stakeholders.
• Track and analyze team metrics such as velocity and burndown charts to provide actionable insights.
• Encourage continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and implementing process enhancements.
• Demonstrate servant leadership by embodying and promoting Agile values and principles.
• Assess and improve the Scrum maturity of teams and the organization, tailoring coaching to their unique pace and needs.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
• Proficiency in tracking and analyzing metrics such as burndown charts and velocity.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to foster team collaboration.
• Proven ability to coach teams towards higher levels of Scrum maturity.
• A passion for servant leadership and enabling team success.
