REQUIRED: Knowledge in coloring services, natural hair care, braiding, hair extensions, silk press/blowouts, etc.
We are hiring for a HAIR SALON RECEPTIONIST (Tuesday-Saturday) to be the welcoming face of our salon for customers who visit or inquire about our beauty services. Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, addressing client questions about our services through various channels, and managing transactions. Success in this role involves high organization and the ability to courteously assist clients, even during busy times, enhancing our reputation by fostering friendly and trusting customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients warmly, notifying beauticians of their arrival
- Schedule and confirm appointments via phone and email
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, issuing receipts
- Offer refreshments to clients in the waiting area
- Assist walk-ins, provide service details, and book appointments as available
- Inform clients of new services and promotions
- Cross-sell services and products where suitable
- Sell bundles and closures, earning a commission on these products
- Update client records with their contact, billing information, and service history
- Fold towels and maintain a tidy reception area
- Order promotional materials and supplies as necessary
- Engage with our social media, including taking photos of completed hairstyles
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representative, or similar role
- Experience using office equipment like printers and POS systems
- Familiarity with transaction processing
- Strong social media proficiency
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, phone, and email) with a customer service focus
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to remain composed during stressful times
Requirements:

- High school diploma
* Pay rate: $12.50-$14 per hour*
