Job Description

We are currently seeking enthusiastic weekday staff to join our vibrant retail team! If you thrive on delivering outstanding customer service and have experience in retail operations, we want to hear from you.

Important Details:

Minimum Age: 14 years (Work permits are required for applicants under 17, unless you've graduated high school.)
Position Status: Part-Time, Regular, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Up to 25 hours per week, including weekdays, holidays, and school breaks
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Available Shifts:

Monday - Friday, with shifts between 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Position Summary:

As a Retail Ambassador, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Retail Operations and the Retail Shift Lead. Your primary role will be to assist in daily retail operations throughout our venue, ensuring guests receive top-notch service in our retail shops, remote locations, and attractions. You will play a vital role in enhancing the guest experience and supporting the growth of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience and Sales:

Greet every guest with a warm smile and a friendly hello within close proximity.
Engage with guests to understand their needs, providing personalized service that enhances their experience.
Recommend and help locate merchandise tailored to guest interests.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
Describe merchandise and explain its use, operation, and care to guests.
Process sales transactions using POS systems, while maintaining accurate sales records.
Keep work areas clean and organized; restock and prepare merchandise for purchase or rental.
Arrange and display merchandise effectively to promote sales.
Rent out strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs while ensuring cleanliness and maintenance.
Handle phone calls professionally and courteously.
Operational Duties:

Perform opening and closing procedures, including handling financial transactions and equipment.
Open and close retail locations as scheduled.
Uphold cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue by actively maintaining the environment.
Position Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Education, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

Minimum age of 14 years (Work permit required for those under 17, unless graduated).
No specific education required; customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
Must have an outgoing and friendly personality.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Physical Requirements: This role is physically demanding and requires the following abilities:

Ability to access all areas of the venue.
Stand for at least two continuous hours.
Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and push/pull up to 70 lbs.
Climb stairs or ladders and manipulate basic tools as needed.
Move merchandise using carts, dollies, and other equipment.
Perform bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions.
