JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you ready to take on the challenge of being a UX designer at Green Dot? In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the overall look and feel of our offerings, ensuring they meet the highest design and user experience standards. You will lead the design of user experiences, focusing on deeply understanding our customers' needs and developing innovative solutions that address them. Your expertise as a visual storyteller will be crucial in integrating user research and analysis to craft seamless customer journeys.

As a design advocate, you'll build strong relationships across the organization, promoting and demonstrating the value of design best practices. You'll work closely with various stakeholder groups, seamlessly transitioning between strategic thinking, hands-on research, and design execution.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a UX Vision: Balance aesthetics and practicality, bridging the current and envisioned states.
  • Promote Customer Interests: Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure our products meet user needs.
  • Deliver Best-in-Class User Experiences: Create exceptional responsive web and mobile user experiences from ideation to final product.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Care teams.
  • Create Visuals for Proposals: Develop visuals needed for proposals, including logos and PowerPoint materials.
  • Ensure Accessibility: Design products that comply with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with a portfolio showcasing a range of design thinking stages and final UX designs
  • Strong independent work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite), collaborative tools (FigJam, Jira, and Confluence), and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research to influence and support your design decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate customer needs
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Product or UX design, preferably within the fintech industry
  • Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards

PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $108,600 to $165,900 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
