Reliability/Maintenance Engineer

South of Cedar Rapids

Salary: $90-130 K

This person will ensure plant equipment operates at peak performance using skills and knowledge in continuous improvement initiatives. Position Responsibilities

• The Reliability Engineer performs root cause failure analyses on critical equipment and
• on equipment failures.
• The Reliability Engineer leads the testing of components and equipment to improve
• their reliability or resolve equipment issues.
• The Reliability Engineer helps develop preventative maintenance and leads capital projects to improve product reliability.
• The Reliability Engineer offers technical support to Maintenance and Production.
• The Reliability Engineer performs design and process FMEAs to identify critical failure
• modes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a Reliability or Maintenance Engineer is required.
• Experience working with extruders, vacuum convey equipment, motors, drives, chillers, or air compressors is a big plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading Root Cause Failure Analyses and reporting equipment failures.
• Knowledge of Loss Elimination, Life Cycle Asset Management & Risk Management
• initiatives is important.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
