REGIONAL BRAND REPRESENTATIVE – THORNTAIL HARD AGAVE Thorntail Hard Agave is hiring a full-time Regional Brand Representative for the Seattle, WA market. The role of the Regional Brand Representative is responsible for promoting the growth of Thorntail Hard Agave through a variety of tasks. These tasks include but will not be limited to building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail and distributor partners, conducting drinker education at events and samplings, executing Thorntail’s sales initiatives, and occasional delivery of product and promotional materials to accounts and events. This job may require some regional travel. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who has a passion for the beverage industry, is self-motivated to manage a flexible schedule in order to achieve objectives, and possesses the adaptability to handle changing directives in the fast-moving landscape of a small, but rapidly growing company. This position reports directly to Thorntail’s VP of Sales. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with a target list of On Premise core accounts in the Seattle area with the objectives of meeting distribution goals for Thorntail products and maximizing sales volume through promotional activity. Collect draft orders, deliver kegs from production brewery to on premise draft accounts, and retrieve payment as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with key sales personnel at Columbia Distributing to identify opportunities and ensure delivery and availability of canned product. Sell Thorntail authorizations and initiatives at the store level in targeted Off Premise accounts as directed. Set up, conduct, and recap product samplings at local events and festivals. Provide Thorntail management team with weekly recaps of accomplishments. Bi-Monthly in-market working days with VP of Sales. Position Requirements: A passion for innovation and creativity. An entrepreneurial, solution-oriented mindset. Minimum of four-year degree, preferably in business or marketing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction. Available to work some weekends, especially in Summer. Ability to identify and pursue new opportunities that align with Thorntail’s goals. Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable. Places a premium on relationship management and follow through. Possesses a sense of humor, stand out persona, and general aura of awesomeness. Outgoing and accepting personality, capable of interacting with ALL types of people positively (it’s Seattle!). General understanding of the beer industry and the three-tier system. Fluent in essential computer skills (web-based email, Microsoft Office suite). Basic business math skills. Valid drivers license and squeaky-clean driving record. The ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Must be at least 21 years old. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of the alcohol industry and emerging categories and trends. Experience in the service industry, preferably bars and/or restaurants. MAST class 12 Mixologist permit or equivalent per state requirements. Excitement for building something new as part of a small team.
