Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to support quality assurance functions within the defense sector. This role focuses on managing and maintaining product documentation and driving quality improvements through the execution of First Article Inspections (FAIRs), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs). The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards, support root cause analysis, and facilitate the continuous improvement of quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation in compliance with AS9102 and defense industry standards.
• Coordinate and perform First Article Inspections (FAIRs).
• Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), ensuring timely resolution.
• Lead or support CAPA investigations, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Support internal and external audits as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
• Experience in a quality engineering role within the defense or aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and defense compliance standards.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagrams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
