Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager for a well-established food products maker in Riverside. As a QA Manager, you'll direct the food manufacturing process by monitoring and controlling the production progression from raw ingredient intake through to packaging of finished products. Developing SOP’s and training in all programs will be a key deliverable for this role. The QC Manager follows compliance related to Organic, Kosher, Halal, BRC, and FDA and understands HACCP and CCP’s.

This is a direct-hire, long term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure product quality by understanding customer requirements and developing effective quality control processes.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP programs, ensuring food safety protocols are met.
  • Supervise QC Technicians and Sanitation Department staff, providing training on SOPs and sanitation procedures.
  • Oversee internal audits, host external audits, and manage non-conformance reports through resolution.
  • Investigate quality issues, including customer complaints, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to uphold quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety programs like SQF, OSHA, and GMP.
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze product returns, and identify trends to enhance product quality.
  • Evaluate raw material quality, address deviations, and conduct supplier performance assessments.
  • Partner with R&D and project managers to align quality standards for new product launches and client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager, ensuring efficient and high-quality production, 5 years minimum.
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements and ability to coordinate between management and production teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP standards.
  • Experience with BRC, GFSI audits, and organic certification requirements (preferred).
  • Skilled in process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high product quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, ISO, and other quality certification programs (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and database management.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, customer care, and a solution-focused mindset.
