Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Lending Funding Desk Associate/Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and managing private lending transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage relationships with clients, investors, and borrowers.

Key Responsibilities

Funding and Transaction Management

• Oversee the funding process for private lending transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the origination and underwriting process of loans, assessing risk and return profiles for each investment.
• Monitor and track ongoing loans and investment performance to ensure the timely repayment of funds and overall portfolio health.

Client and Investor Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, borrowers, and stakeholders.
• Work closely with investors to understand their lending criteria and provide tailored lending solutions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and investors regarding loan structures, terms, and performance.

Market Research and Deal Sourcing

• Conduct market research to identify new private lending opportunities and trends within the market.
• Source and evaluate potential borrowers and lending opportunities to meet the investment goals of the firm and its clients.
• Negotiate loan terms and structure deals in line with risk-return strategies.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Perform due diligence on potential lending opportunities to ensure they meet internal risk and compliance standards.
• Evaluate the financial health and creditworthiness of borrowers.
• Ensure that all private lending transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Reporting and Analytics

• Provide detailed reports on the status of loans, performance metrics, and risk exposure.
• Use financial modeling and analysis to assess loan structures and potential returns.
• Collaborate with senior management on portfolio analysis and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in private lending, funding desk operations, or relevant financial services role.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, lending practices, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and modeling tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks in private lending.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in underwriting and assessing Private Money real estate-backed loans.
