Private Equity Investment Team - Associate (Spring / Summer 2025) The Brydon Group is a private equity firm based in Washington DC that partners with outstanding mid-career executives to acquire business-to-business (B2B), business-to-government (B2G), and healthcare software and services businesses. Brydon's three founding partners have multi-decade experience in large cap private equity (Blackstone, Carlyle), successful exits in software and bulge bracket banking (Goldman, JP Morgan), and extensive public service backgrounds. Brydon launched Fund I in February 2023 and closed Fund II in May 2024. This role is ideal for a highly talented candidate, especially those with prior "private equity adjacent experience" via consulting, seeking to gain extensive deal experience and work directly with senior leaders on sourcing, due diligence, and value creation. There is significant growth and promotion potential for the right candidates. We are passionate about developing the "hard skills" of private equity and enhancing our team's abilities and judgment as investors and operators. In this role, you will evaluate deals, build models and investment memos, conduct due diligence, and interact with sellers and management teams. Responsibilities Support and manage a pipeline of 5-6 transactions annually Build financial models with various scenarios involving different capital structures and assumptions Assist in creating investment committee memos and presentations Support deal processes, including LOIs, term sheets, and transaction documents Participate in due diligence, executing key analyses within tight timelines Monitor portfolio company performance, support value creation initiatives, and attend board meetings Assist with quarterly investment valuations and investor presentations Contribute positively to firm culture Conduct industry research to develop and test investment theses Minimum Requirements 1-4 years of work experience in consulting; exposure to private equity due diligence is a plus Strong quantitative skills, PowerPoint proficiency, and financial modeling experience, ideally from consulting, investment banking, or private equity High integrity, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-growing organization Experience with software, business services, or healthcare services is a plus but not required Benefits and Location Location: On-site in Washington, D.C.
