Principal Scientist, Data Science - Hybrid Requisition Id: 377948 Business Unit: Corporate Location: Boston, MA, US, 02111 What you’ll need to succeed as a Principal Scientist, Data Science at XPO: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying optimization solutions Experience in pricing optimization, demand forecasting, utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning, and reinforcement learning techniques. Strong experience with SQL, Python and Java Experience using statistical modeling to solve business problems A deep understanding of machine learning techniques and experience applying them to solve business problems. Track record in leading cross-functional initiatives that span across the organization. Ability to translate complex data sets and research into simple business recommendations. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field Strong leadership and communication skills 7+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying optimization solutions Experience in pricing optimization, demand forecasting, utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning, and reinforcement learning techniques.
