Position Description The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI and data modeling, with a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate data models and the ability to work with large datasets to support business intelligence initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize business performance and trends, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, and management, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Utilize data modeling techniques to create and maintain corporate data models that support business intelligence solutions, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. Optimize and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance, usability, and scalability, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise. Conduct data analysis to identify key insights and trends, providing actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all BI solutions, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements. Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our BI capabilities and recommend new solutions as needed. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize BI tools and reports. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of Power BI projects. Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling, with the ability to create complex calculations and visualizations. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes, with exposure to designing and implementing data pipelines. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, including experience with Azure Synapse and the Microsoft Data Platform. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including its components and integration capabilities. Understanding of corporate data models and experience in creating and maintaining them to support business intelligence initiatives.
