Job Opportunity: Pipe Welder
Location: Newport News, VA
Pay: $50.00/hr (Local) | $50.00/hr and $120 Per Day Worked for Per Diem (Non-Local)
Schedule: Full-Time, Contract | 40 hrs/week
About the Role
Weld pipe (GTAW/SMAW; FCAW as required) on carbon/stainless to procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Read WPS; maintain purge and interpass temps.
- Execute sound root/hot/cap passes; support NDT (VT/RT/PT).
- Perform repairs per QA direction.
Requirements
- Recent pipe weld test success (6G preferred).
- Knowledge of consumables, joint prep, and cleanliness.
- HS diploma/GED; background & drug screening.
