Sanford Health is seeking an Addiction Medicine Physician in Bemidji, MN. The department currently consists of 2 part-time physicians and 1 part-time APP. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no call. The Medication Assisted Therapy program combines behavioral therapy and medications to treat substance use disorders, including opioids. Staff includes nursing, social workers, licensed addiction and behavioral health counselors. There is an established, comprehensive behavioral health service line with a grant to transition to a CCBHC. Addiction Medicine/Psychiatry Fellowship preferred. The location is a Federally Designated MUA with a HPSA Score of 20. Family Medicine Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit (if applicable), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illnesses, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions, and functional disorders across multiple body systems. This includes pre-operative and post-operative medical care of surgical patients and return to work issues. Qualifications include an M.D. or D.O. degree, experience demonstrated by residency procedure logs or quality profiles from hospitals, successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program, and certification or eligibility for certification by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board. Compensation includes a nationally competitive plan with benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance, 401K, disability, life insurance, CME allowance, malpractice insurance, tail coverage, and relocation allowance. Annual compensation floor range is $265,175 - $343,168 plus potential to exceed based on personally performed wRVUs. Additional incentives may be offered. Actual compensation offers vary based on multiple factors including education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice, and job requirements.
