OTR Tanker/Vac Class A Driver at Clean Harbors summary:

The OTR Tanker/Vac Class A Driver at Clean Harbors is responsible for operating tractor-trailer tanker units to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste across regional and long-haul routes, primarily from Cincinnati, OH to Sarnia, CA. The position offers competitive compensation, including a sign-on bonus, along with comprehensive health benefits and a commitment to safety in the workplace. Ideal candidates must have a Class A CDL, relevant driving experience, and the ability to comply with safety regulations while maintaining vehicle logs and inspections.

Clean Harbors is looking for a Regional/ OTR Class A Tanke/Vac Driver to join their safety conscious team in Cincinnati, OH. This route runs from Cincinnati, OH. to Sarnia, CA., but also covering New England/ Midwestern states as needed. Must be willing to cross-train on other lines of business, ex: vans/transport tankers/ end dumps. Expect 10-14 days out but could be regional at times. Requires Passport. 

About the role:

• Drivers average $90-$110K per year
• $7,500 sign-on-bonus available
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation includes hourly wages (all on-duty non-driving time) and mileage pay

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer tanker units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

• Class A CDL
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• 3+ months of tanker experience
• HAZMAT and TANKER endorsements
• Ability to climb and work from heights
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs+
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
