Operation Specialist - Job Description

Camp Bow Wow® is North America’s provider of pet care services through premier doggy day care, overnight boarding and basic grooming services. Camp Bow Wow Virginia Beach is looking for a positive, dependable, flexible and hard working leader to join our team!

Qualifications and Requirements:

▪         Excellent customer service

▪         Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, doggy daycare and boarding facility

▪         Possess a positive attitude

▪         Team player

▪         Strong leadership skills (a plus) with the ability to prioritize physical workload and manage time

▪         Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to connect effectively with customers and co-workers

▪         Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

▪         Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop and lift

▪         1 year prior management experience preferred; Prior Camp Bow Wow experience a plus!

▪         Available to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays

▪         Must love dogs!

Responsibilities

▪         A key holder that will open and/or close facility for operation

▪         Maintain a safe and positive work environment

▪         Handle day-to-day operations, which includes, but is not limited to, scheduling/confirming appointments, checking in/out and handling dogs, dog grooming, answering phone calls and emails, maintaining checklists and timely following up with staff on job functions, maintaining a clean facility, food prep, administering medications, and excellent customer service

▪         Staff training and development

▪         Ensure all Camp Counselors understand and follow policies, procedures, and regulations

▪         Monitor opening and closing shift checklists and logs

▪         Delegate tasks to team members, provide timely follow-up and assist where needed

▪         Hold team accountable for their performance; provide positive coaching and counseling as needed

▪         Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service

▪         Performs other duties/special projects as assigned
